One UI 9 is trending because Samsung has officially begun rolling out the stable update to the Galaxy S26 lineup. According to Sammy Fans, Samsung confirmed on September 16, 2026 that the stable One UI 9 update is now rolling out to the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, after roughly four months in beta.
Not a Brand-New Release
One UI 9 actually launched earlier alongside Samsung's foldable lineup — the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Fold 8 Ultra, and Z Flip 8 — on July 22, 2026. The Galaxy S26 series is only now getting the stable update, about two months later.
Built on Android 17
One UI 9 is built on top of Android 17, and it's rolling out in phases depending on region and carrier — so don't be surprised if your phone hasn't gotten the update notification yet even though the same model already received it in another country.

My FanCam — a recording feature that automatically locks camera focus onto a single subject in the middle of the video frame, handy for concerts or sports.
